I get angry w/ senior citizens who take forever to cross the street and begin tirades against them. Does it make me pathetic or crazy?

I didn't mean to imply to it was an inconvenience to me. I am more patient than you all think. It just happens to be frustrating sometimes. I know must can't help it, but some can.

I remember I had a hard time trying to cross the street when I was in my 20 & 30's. the way they had the lights timed. You had to run then and still do. So what makes you think that a senior citizens will do any better.
Your just pathetic, and inmpatient. Remember pedestrians always have the right of way. Why are you gong to a Fire. Relax - Chill. Don't be so stressed, you will have a Heart Attack.

Reminds me of an old joke.."Why did the chicken cross the road?-----------to get to the other side!"
In other words, if you just concentrate of where it is that YOU would like to go, then why even WORRY about the slower members of your species? Go ahead with your tirades. By the time I'm that slow, I'll have a hearing aid too & I'll turn it down when someone like you yells at me.
It will be heaven when I can finally get to that point in my life!
I don't think this renders a person as pathetic, crazy, or cold hearted. It just makes you inexperienced at having had to experience a physical breakdown of your human body. Someday, when it is YOU who is slow at crossing the street, you might think back on the times when you had your tirades & ask yourself what would you do NOW if someone started yelling at you!?! Life has a funny way of giving you a large dose of something in return for what you once gave to others.

You go Gladys. My answer is this do you know what the really really great thing about old age is? It happens to everyone and it IS going to happen to you too ! And if you know anything about karma or have heard the expressions "from your lips to Gods ears" I would NOT want to be in your shoes. I dont know about you but no one has ever said that God was some young ignorant boorish punk with an attitude, so guess who is on MY side and who is on YOUR side? I will pray that you live to be at least 110 yrs old and regret the karma you have created ever day of your life after shall we say 65? It might happen sooner to you but it isnt just old age that slows people down and makes walking a challenge for them --

Please pass on my sympathies to your parents. I am sure they tried to raise a decent child.

You need to learn patience, especially with the senior citizens. You'll be one someday, & how would you feel if you read your question, knowing that it takes you a while to cross the street? Were you ever a Boy Scout? They were great when it came to helping seniors across the street. Why don't you be one now, & do a good deed, & help a senior across the street? I think it'll make you think twice.

It makes you a very cold hearted person. Now I am going to put this right in your own back yard. How would you feel if this senior citizens that you are talking about was to be your own parent or grand parent, would you still feel that way about them? I sure hope not. That IS someones parent or grand
parent that you are talking about. And another thing, like the rest of them are saying here, you are going to be there yourself some day. There is going to be young folks out there that is going to treat you the same way. So you need to treat folks out there (of ALL ages) the way you want to be treated.

I hope, young man, that when you are my age - that you are as agile as am I. You are MEAN AND SELFISH. Many Seniors have serious disabilities - but they suffer in silence!
So why don't you keep you mouth shut and go to a site that wants to hear your opinions. In the meantime - try to be a man and help any senior you see having trouble crossing the street! CJ

Worse than cold hearted try on SAD and see how it fits. Karma, Buddy is having what you sent out return to bite you in the butt. Perhaps you won't even be older when something strikes you down and you limp, huff & puff and use most of your energy getting across a street. Scared? You oughta be. Old age ain't for sissies.

A little of both, but in about thirty or forty years when you get to that stage or should I say this stage, as I am a Senior too, hopefully you won't have to ask this question any more as you will be a Senior yourself, with all the aches, pains and other ailments that come with age to everyone.

It is pathetic. Remember those senior citizens are people too - they were once your age and I am sure they showed much more respect for older people when they were young.

Oh - and don't forget - you too will be that age one day yourself and you yourself will get frustrated when people get impatient with you. So settle down and to be so impatient.

Pathetic. What's your hurry? If you are in a rush you should have left sooner. Remember you will be, God willing, old someday. You can't imagine it now, but you will be and you won't move as quickly and you won't care. You won't be in any rush because you had the sense to allow enough time to get where you are going.
