To share an internet connection in your house, you'll need the incoming connection (modem), and wireless router. These are often combined in to one unit.

The machines need to connect to the router. They can connect using wireless (you would need wireless cards in the computers), or using ethernet wire, for which you'll need ethernet cards in the computers and the wires.

I am going to assume they are brining a wireless router/modem and if this is the case then you need to have a wireless network card in both of your PC/devices. Once you have this and both devices are online/internet you can set up simple file sharing to exchange resources back and forth.

Assuming they are providing the modem, all you need is a router and means of connecting your devices to it. Are you going to use wireless? If so, make sure you encrypt!

You will need a Cable or DSL modem.
You will also need to have a network card in your machine.
You will also need network cables (unless you are going wireless)
