I've got a few:
Fight Like Apes - they're a pretty new Irish band, who just released a new EP, "David Carradine is a Bounty Hunter Whose Robotic Arm Hates Your Crotch". I highly recommend them.

Then there's Okkervil river, who have been around for a good while now, but I only recently discovered them.

And finally Pavement, who I'm almost embarrassed to say I only picked up on a while ago.

Lately, I can't stop listening to Kill Hannah, and the Used has been my favorite band for years.
Josephine Collective is a local band that has been signed by Warner Brothers. Their EP came out in July and their full Album is coming out in January 2008. Each of their songs sounds different, and even my mom loves them. There are 7 members in the band, so they obviously have their own sound. Their stage presence is amazing, they get really involved with the crowd (they played a hosue show last weekend that was AMAZING).
But yeah... check them out.

Yeah it's country. But if Jello digs them, that's good enough for me.
