I'm still not voting for Barack Obama but I will give him credit for being honest about his drug use .

Bill Clinton on the other hand is another story . His line "I smoked but didn't inhale" is the equivalent of a kid getting caught with a joint by his parents but then using the oldest and lamest excuse - "It's not mine though , I'm holding it for a friend" . BULL -S*** . Nobody 'holds' someone elses drugs for them. . . . . well unless they're also using them with their 'friend' .

And nobody smokes with their friends but doesn't inhale . What a liar .
Anyway , I'm just curious if any of you ever bought that line of bull. . . . . . and if not , then do you want 4 more years of lies from the Clinton's ?

I don't believe anything that the Clinton's say, I never have, they lie like its their own private language. I kinda like Bill but he's a liar and his "wife" (and I use that term loosely) is the heavyweight champion of liars. Hell, their entire realtionship is a lie.

Actually, I'd WELCOME a President who smoked a little weed. No.... seriously.

The problem with the U.S. is that the slimy press looks for that one little sound bite it can use to mock a candidate. They look for anything embarrassing to make headlines. Hence, we only get candidates with either very well-hidden secrets, or people of very bland personalities (Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, George H. Bush Sr.)

Imagine if we had a real character, like a modern day Benjamin Franklin. He goes over to Syria to talk turkey with Bashar al-Assad. Things are stiff and formal. The two don't trust one another. No progress is going to be made. Big waste of time.

But then, our colorful President whips out a little plastic baggy and starts rolling something. His host is shocked, but our guy tells him to chill out. Pretty soon, they're smoking like college buddies and laughing about everything.

Problem solved.

Heck, we should have told Clinton: "OK, now that you're President, your first job is to start inhaling!"

Yes, I believe it.
If you actually saw the remark in it's correct context, it was an off the cuff statement made not trying to apologize for it. He said he tried to, wasn't able to. I've known many poeple who didn't know how to inhale, or the smoke was too pungent, so didn't thier first time.

Now, next time you want to chastise someone's statements, do some research and get the actual facts, not the sound-bite transcribed version sent out by those with an agenda. If you wanna hate on Clinton, fine, there's plenty of legitimate stuff there, but this issue just makes you look petty.

"And nobody smokes with their friends but doesn't inhale ."

It's likely that Clinton had a wide circle of friends, and that many of them did not touch marijuana. It's also possible he didn't get very much into marijuna because he worried about the illegality of it. You're talking about someone who once had high ideals and respect for the law, and who was always planning on running for office, so this is possible. At any rate, his statement is laughable, it's not a true sign of dishonesty.

No. Bill Clinton lied about personal stuff like dope and sex. George Bush lied about the reasons to invade Iraq that eventually killed hundreds of thousands human beings.

By the way, why is there no record of why George Bush spent a year doing community service as a young man in Houston, Texas? Here's a hint. George Bush was a party animal who was into sex and blow. He got caught with a few grams. Deal with it.

O.K., So he says that he did not inhale the weed.
HOWEVER, HE HAS NEVER SAID THAT HE DID NOT / STILL DOES NOT INHALE THE PINE TREE NEEDLES !!!
Ever look and read about "PINE-SOL"?? No? Next time in the grocery store, go to the disinfectant dept., and read about "PINE - SOL" how it disinfects, sterilizes, and leaves every thing 'spotless' !!!
What has this to do with Billy Boy and Hillary??
What is the most common tree in Arkansas?? Pine Trees !!!

ha ha ha! It is commendable that Obama admits to his previous drug use. It shows that he is a normal human being, who has done regrettable things. Regrettable things that have helped to mold him into a responsible productive adult.

But, I do have a problem with his choice of forum. I don't think he should really go to kids and tell them that he used to do drugs. I'll tell you what. Every kid is different. Some kids will learn from his mistakes. Others will use his mistakes as an excuse to condone their own drug experimentation. I just don't think it's a appropriate for him to speak about this to high school kids.

Clinton was just trying to save his A**. Sure Clinton lied while he was in office, but he is only human. Everyone lies. Even presidents. Nixon said "I am not a crook I've earned everything Ive got" G Bush Sr. said "read my lips no new taxes" and clinton said "I did not have sexual relations with that Woman" Politicians lie to get what they want. The dictionary should change the meaning of Politician to LIAR.

Clinton, Bush, Hilary, Obama, Barney the Dinosaur, who cares? So Clinton didn't inhale that's no worse than Bush who is a dope that has yet to exhale.

What does whether Bill Clinton inhaled have to do with anything now? That was an issue that should have been addressed in the 90s.
