Marcello Lippi stated that he won't coach any English clubs because he doesn't speak much English!

Even though the Blues do have potential to be a really good top side (I think they could be in the top 4 if they got the right players in), I think you have to look at the fact that Lippi has never coached outside of Italy.

Why? Well only Lippi can tell you that, but my guess is that he, as an Italian, loves Italian football, loves Italy, and so therefore he doesn't want to move to another country and another league. People will say that's a bit ridiculous, but it's up to Lippi at the end of the day.

After you have won domestic titles and World Cup titles, while you are growing old, what choice is better than retiring in glory and playing with your grandchildren? Besides, what did Birmingham can promise him? Big bucks? I think he has enough already. Family? He has family and friends in Italy. Honour? Please don't talk about that to World Cup winner. There is no reason for Lippi to coach Birmingham City.

Lippi is the world cup winner. He has won a lot in his coaching life and built himself reputation.

If he return to coach, I think he will go to big clubs which have the potential to win the Champion Leager. Smaller clubs like Birminghan City just do have enough history and fund to attrach him. And he also will not risk his reputation.

You are 'avin' a laugh right(?). Marcello Lippi (we are not worthy, we are not worthy) wouldn't get out of bed for any Premiership team.

because in the Serie a they generally fork over more pay for managers than the premiership- well at least more than birmingham would fork over.

Considering the clubs he's managed, i guess he would view it as a massive step backwards !!
