I'm looking for the complete set of Deadwood DVD's. Online they range in price from 93.00 to 299.00. I've noticed that the cheaper ones come from austraila. Are they pirated copies?

Just order from a reputable dealer like Amazon

The previous poster mentioned Amazon- one great thing Amazon has is the "Amazon Marketplace" program. When you look at an item, you'll see (slightly below the price), a bit that mentions a price for "new and used" versions. Oftentimes, it's a video store or collector selling their DVDs. As the other poster mentioned, read the sellers' feedback, and if they have hundreds or thousands of sales, with mostly positive feedback, you can generally trust them.
Granted, you're getting a used copy, but they're usually still in fine shape, and you've saved 40% or so.

I would stick to the most reputable sources for buying things like that, such as Amazon. Look at the approval ratings of the people you're buying it from. Read the comments and see what other consumers reported. If they have a high approval rating and positive comments, go for it. Of course, you could always order directly from Amazon (or the respective business), which is always safe.

It's not impossible that they are real.. but, they could be the wrong region.. they could have something wrong with them.. they could be used.. or it's even possible they are just cheaper there.. Hard to say.
