first you either need a memory stick or a re-writing disc. right click the folder and select "send to" and select the device you want. Then put into the other computer. Is this a pc and not a mac? if so, go to my computer and click the device. on the left hand side of the screen you will find "copy files" and "move files". select one of these and there you go!

I simply put them on a memory stick (USB drive), dragged and dropped from one to the other. The entire file took less than 30 seconds to do..while burning them to a CD/DVD takes longer and may or may not have enough space. Of course if you have a network..simply send the file to the other computer.

You can buy USB cords that run from one computer to another which transfers all of your files.
I have one, which is Belkin. By the way, they have to be relatively close to each other, as the cord cannot reach from one room to another.
Another way of transferring files is sending them through emails, whether to yourself or someone else, and then opening them on the other computer
Or you can transfer photos using a USB stick.

Cyberguys had a cable and software to link two computers and transfer files from one to another. I use it all the time.
Another option is to get a portable hard drive and copy the files onto it, then plug it into the other computer and copy the files onto the second computer.

My choice would be to load them onto a cd and transfer them using it.
It shouldn't take that long and for security should either or both computers self destruct for some reason, you have the back up disk.

I've got a 4 gB MP3 player that does the job pretty well. Anything similar should do it and it's the best method unless you really want to spend twenty quid buying a connection cable.

I keep all my photos on a stick to prevent loss,
