ok, my friend has been cutting herself really really deeply and more frequently now. and she says she'll nvr quit. i told her if i quit she quits. well i quit cutting and she still hasn't quit. i am rlly rlly worried about her. i have been trying to get her to stop for about 2weeks now. she hasn't either. i think one of these times she's gonna not stop bleeding and then not tell anyone and die. i am afraid for her life. so i told my mom. even thou i kinda screwed myself over cause my mom found out i was cutting again then, so i had to go to Miller dwann again. and that wasn't fun. (miller dwann's for troubled children) but i think my friend will not forgive me for telling my mom to tell her mom about her cutting. she needed help, but did i give her help the right way? and do u think she will ever forgive me? i think if i wouldn't have done sommin about it she would have killed herself shortly. but did i do the right thing??

Don't worry you did the right thing. She will eventually get over it and forgive you. If by chance she doesn't then just know that you probably saved her life and that is something to feel good about. Hopefully she will get the help that she needs and realize that you just did what you thought was best. A decision like that is sometimes hard to make, but you made the right one.

I think you did the right thing. I have this friend who used to be crazy and fun to be around and then she started cutting herself and I found out and blew up on her. The day after our fight she had more cuts and for some reason I almost didnt feel bad. And then I had a dream that she killed herself and blamed me. But in your case, if your friend doesnt realize that you care so much about her that you were willing to send yourself back to Miller Dwanns for her safety then she might as well just keep cutting until she realizes what shes doing to herself.

Be thankful you at least did something. When your friend gets better they should be glad you helped them, even if they had to go the hard road to recovery. Your actions are done now,so the thing to do is to be there for your friend. Visit your friend and mail or email them a lot.
When you have a friend that has a problem and when you ask them 'what would make them stop?' or 'what can I do to help?' and they do not give you options then you are best to let professionals help them get better before they do something to severe to recover from.

Sometimes in life painful decisions have to be made for the better good. You did the right thing by telling your mom.

What's the deal about the cutting anyway? Life is too wonderful, why try to kill yourself? to get attention?

Stop beating yourself up over this. You saved your friends life.

Ofcourse you did the right thing. Sometimes you have to do the right thing and there are no pats on the back. Just know in your heart you tried and now it is up to her. Grampa B
