YES

Especially for people, like myself, who have medical conditions that it helps

Absolutely not. The last thing we need in America is another widely available mind altering drug. The argument could be made that marijuana is already widely available. But I personally, as well as many other people would have no idea where to buy it. Alcohol or cigarettes, however, can be bought at any grocery store and most convenience stores. I guarantee that we would see a spike in marijuana use if it was legalized, and as a result we would see a spike in marijuana related deaths. I'm sorry, but I would prefer not to be mown down by some loaded guy in a car who just got off his pot break at his job.

Yes, because I love it and have never seen any violence or aggression in a smoky atmosphere, just fun and peace and a laugh. I would enthusiastically sign any petition to the Government to legalise marijuana. It is my belief that it causes less damage than booze and the statistics confirm that. Of course, booze is taxed to the hilt, so it is unlikely that it will become criminalised and it is used and accepted all over the world = no mention of the addicted, the violence, the sheer havoc and damage to society wrecked by alcohol.

Yes !!!!! For lots of reasons.

I think it should be. Ive seen way more people angry and reckless on booze then I ever have on weed! If alcohol is legal so should weed be! U cant even get off the couch after u smoke a joint- never mind hurt someone!!!! BUT they should have a warning label that says " Will cause the munchies and severe gain weight over time" LOL

Legalize it! Because I'm tired of paying fines and dealing with the authorities over stupid stuff! Aren't there some baby-rapers that could use more attention from the law, rather than pot-heads like me?

Yes.

When compared to many legal drugs out there, marijuana is less harmful and more useful overall.

Marijuana does not kill brain cells like alcohol does, and it doesn't cause lung cancer like cigarettes do (it actually coats and kills lukemia cells in the lungs and rids the body of a lot of toxins that can cause cancer)

But sadly there are too many people out there who believe the lies the government likes to toss around and won't admit that making it legal can reroute billions of dollars to rid this country of things like herion, meth and crack.

several years ago, john hopkins located an area in the brain that when stimulated in some way, electrically i think, produced a cannabanoid-like enzyme or secretion. they thought that this would be helpful in patients who were undergoing chemo or radiation therapy, for the nausea that sometimes accompanies this therapy.

anyhow, they described reefer as "a mild euphoric." period. not a drug.

i have never been able to think of it as a "drug" since. were it not for my emphysema, i would be smoking a joint now.

Absolutely. I personally wouldn't use it, but I don't think the government has the right to tell us what we can or can't do to our own bodies. If it doesn't hurt other people, the environment, etc., then it should be legal.

If legalized the government will probably tax it so much that no one would be able to afford it.
