Tebow and McFadden are the only choices to consider.

I think he will win it. But I don't think he should. The problem with college football today is that because of the Mythical national champion system,(I'm trying to be nice here) teams just can't afford to lose if they want a shot at the title. Teams in split conferences play 5 meaningful or conference games, and then they can schedule 6 games against lesser opponents. This serves two purposes, 1 teams stay healthier, and 2 players can roll up big numbers against inferior defenses. Until football adopts a similar system as basketball, at least 8 teams, a level playing field will not exist.I know their is no way to convince fans of the teams that don't have to play tough schedules that this would be good for college ball, because they don't care how they win, so long as they win. The full month after the last game, teams take off, could be used as this playoff time.

Tebow is in a spread offense, with a usual 5 or 4 wide recievers. He can stay in the pocket, and make a decent throw, and he can run the ball. as of now, he has 26 passing TDs to 6 ints. He also has 20 rushing Tds.
The reason he can accumalate such stats is because he is the central point of almost every offensive play. every Florida play is either a pass, or a QB draw.
Tebow runs the ball in the red zone, which is the reason he has so many rushing TDs. His longest run is 25 yards, and he has 4.1 yards per rush. This means that most of his Tds are from around the 5 yard line. This is the place that most teams give the ball to the RB of FB. The rest of the Gators have 14 rushing TDs, most of which are not from the Red Zone. My point is that if Florida gave the ball to their backs in the Red Zone, instead of tebow running it, they would have the same amount of TDs. Tebow is just like having two players in one; a QB and a FB/RB. Unfortunatly, this has the same impact on the game as having a strong back AND a QB.
You also have to take account all the losses UF has suffered this year. I know that many people complain that the heisman voters are biased toward a top team, but if you think about it, they are right. If tebow was such a great player, where was he in losses to LSU, Auburn, and Georgia? LSU and UGA are good teams, but Auburn should have lost to UF.
on the other hand, Dennis Dixon was the sole reason the Ducks were winning. They had a great back in Stewart, and he was having a great season. But as soon as dixon went out, the team just fell apart. Stewart did not perform like he usually did, and their passing game was gone.
Two other heisman hopefuls that i like more than tebow are Chase Daniel and Todd Reesing. They have top 3 teams, and they have stats that match tebow's. Reesing has 30 passing TDs to 4 ints. Now, he doesnt have the 20 rushing Tds that tebow has, but he does have McAnderson on his team, who has 15. These two have about the same scoring output as tebow, and they are actually winning all their games. another important fact: reesing threw ints in just two games this season.
Daniel has similar stats to reesing. I believe Daniel will become a premier QB in the NFL despite his size. He is similar to Brett Favre, both in size and style.
overall, i think that tebow is overrated, and gets stats because he tries to do everything himself when he doesnt have to. I do however believe that he will win the heisman because voters choose players with stats and flash.
Besides, which recent heisman winners are successful in the NFL?
The good: Carson Palmer
The bad: Troy Smith, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Jason White, Eric Crouch, Chris Weinke, Ron Dayne, Ricky Williams.

People are rediculous. A player is a player. If he can knock Glen Dorsey on his back, he is right up there with all seniors in consideration. Since when was college football divided into upperclassmen and underclassmen? He's a player, like everyone else in contention. Just because it has never happened doesn't mean it will never happen.
No one had ever thought running a sub-four-minute mile was possible until it was done. After the feat had been accomplished, many more runners repeated the feat. Don't discount a player based on age if he can play with and run over some of the big boys.

i seek for Meyer to alter up the offense slightly because of the fact Tebow took a beating this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. consequently, Tebow won't be able to have the stunning stats lower back. i seek for Moreno out of Georgia to be the impressive candidate for the Heisman.

If I had to vote right now, I would definitely vote for Tebow. However, Chase Daniel still has two weeks to increase his stats. I think Tebow will win it in the end, but chances are it probably won't be a landslide victory.
Daniel definitely still stands a chance. If he can step it up in the next two games, he'll stand a good chance at winning the heisman.

He has the best stats in the country against the best conference in the country, just because they won't be playing for a national title and just because he's a sophomore shouldn't keep him from winning it. That's BS.
Only other person I could think of is Darren McFadden. To put up the numbers he does in this conference and with the consistancy he does it with...need I say more.
Others to consider...Chase Daniel, Glen Dorsey, then pick from any number of players.

there is no reason that he shouldnt win. he played with a broken arm against fsu. hes been taking shots for his shoulder before games and has still be playing better than anyone else. he broke the records for rushing and passing. the only reason that i could think of for him not getting it is because he is a sophomore, which should not make any difference. the trophy goes to the best player, not the best player whos a junior or senior.

He is still in the mix and it will depend on those who cast ballots late & look at the complete stats of a player. He has an incredible season throwing and running, but the team record looms as a big hurdle.

Yeah he probably should win. His stats are amazing and all the other contenders have had a bad game or injuries.

I'd say he's in the lead at the moment but this year is too insane for me to make any predictions. Only thing that would surprise me at this point would be if my mom won it.
