Hereford; the new Sunderland, bedamned...but Leeds in the start of the season were miles below the team directly above them, on account of the (points) punishment they received. Of course Hereford will feel good about the win, but in the real cut & chase atmosphere in the league they're currently in, Leeds are the shiners teams above them must be observing with a mixture of admiration and fear (not the Bremner sort, however!). 'Tis true they're more concerned about crapping all over the 'punishment' they were given by the FA and rising with style and determination.

Does it matter? There are too many clubs up and down both English & Scottish divisions clinging on in desperate hope on some personal financial investment, whereas in reality, there are few clubs that would gain a return for those investing. With the Leeds scenario, the League should have maintained their "golden share" and monitor the husbandry of Ken Bates in taking the club forward. No fool he for taking them into administration prior to the end of the season. This alone should have set the league on edge, but no, they blunder on regardless (allegedly). The FA/ League/ SPL/ SFL/ Conference et al, should demand that the books be opened on ALL clubs to ensure their financial well being. Those who cannot operate independently, either amalgamate or go under. Harsh but at least the leagues would be healthier. Not a popular viewpoint, but in all honesty how many satellite clubs are supported as well as the "big" clubs. This is more visibly seen in Scotland with much of the populous supporting the Old Firm rather than their local teams.

Same as it could happen to a big club like Newcastle. Giant killing is part and parcel of the FA Cup and Hereford are up there with the best of them.
Leeds are on their way back following years of mis management (not the Players or Fans fault) and they should get promoted easily. That is their priority.

Absolutely fantastic result. Well done Hereford !!
No doubt Leeds were not able to influence the ref like they did against Swindon on saturday, probably because it was
not a league game and there was not 3 points at stake - just to make them higher up their own 'Real League' that they publish in their programme !!
Once again - fantastic result - well done Hereford !!

funny isn't it!!!!
It happenend because they spent money they didn't have. They gambled on players and didn't qualify for champions league. Sacked a manager who did very well. They are a good sized club but not a giant anymore. If Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd, didn't qualify they wouldn't be in the trouble like leeds, as they spend within there means. Also they seem to have a contingency plan. Gambling can be good but in Leeds case it wasn't!!!!

well it happens doesnt it!!! leeds are a very well supported club we get some of the biggest gates in the country consistently bigger than premiership teams, this alone does not make us a big club but some of our past glories do!!! ok so we havent won as many trophies as others but certainly a lot more than others. the good times will be back at elland road may take a few years but we will be back!!!!

Leeds concentrating on promotion so they're not interested in cups, as last week's home defeat by Bury in the JPTrophy also showed.
