A. is true. Sherman wasn't involved with capturing New Orleans during the Civil War. The burning of Atlanta was the beginning of his March to the Sea, where his troops burned almost everything between Atlanta and Savannah.

Neither is true.B:Sherman didn't capture New Orleans and it wasn't set on fire.New Orleans was captured by Union General Ben Butler.He was known as Spoons due to his personal pilfering of valuables.A:Gone With The Wind is fiction,not history.Despite the famous words she put in Rhett Butler's mouth,Margaret Mitchell DID give a damn.She perpetrated the myth that Sherman torched Atlanta.In fact,the city was set on fire by retreating Confederate soldiers.

C , after a 4 month siege, Confederate General John B. Hood ordered the evacuation of Atlanta and ordered all public buildings and possible Union assets burned or destroyed.
When Sherman left Atlanta he ordered anything still left standing to be destroyed, but he specifically gave orders to not destroy the churches or hospitals.

Atlanta was burned quite famously by Sherman in the civil war. As seen in Gone With the Wind.
