Does anyone hate it when people post long list of songs/bands?

and clearly they cut and pasted it from somewhere cause it's in alphabetical order...they probably never heard of have those bands on there.

All my long lists are straight out of my memory of what's in my music collection {and I often forget a few!}, so they are *never* in alphabetical order!

There are a handful of people on here I have got to know, who often post long lists, but I know that theirs are like mine: all listed from their own collection.

But do I agree with you ~ it is obvious when someone has just copied a list from a site, and quite likely has no knowledge of who most of the bands are.

Jakex has just reminded me of something that happened about a month ago.
Someone asked a question about suggestions for bands for her to listen to . She listed what she already liked. I typed a list of some of my favourite Rock bands. She then asked her Q again, having added to her list with direct 'copy & pastes' from the list I answered with!

I love Metallica. Kill Em All - AJFA are 4 of my favorite albums ever. Death Magnetic, released just a couple years ago, was pretty kickass too. And I'll even listen to a couple songs from the Black Album(just not Enter Sandman). I HATED Load - St. Anger but that was only 3 bad albums. Does that take away the accomplishments from their first 4 albums? Absolutely not. Honestly, how many metal bands have not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR classic albums. Not a whole lot. And while I did not like Metallica's mainstream rock approach, I still have a degree of respect for the fact that they at least TRIED something new instead of countless other "true" and "br00tal" thrash bands who put out one or two good albums then release filler for the rest of their careers because they get so boring. Any "tr00" thrash metal fan convinced that Slayer is better than Metallica, or that Megadeth's "Risk" was any better than "St. Anger" has no idea what they're talking about. Bottom line: Metallica is an amazing band. BQ - I could honestly do without it. Granted, I do like a couple tracks, but I only really need their first 4 albums and Death Magnetic. I don't HATE the Black Album, I could just do without it.

A I know every one of them
B I type every one by hand
C I own every single example
I understand what You are saying though. If I think someone copied and pasted their answer to Me. Well, they won't be getting the points.

I make long lists of bands/songs but I don't copy and paste. I type it right from my memory or iTunes. But I know what you mean, I've seen people copy my lists and use it as their own. That pisses me off.

no I dont hate it, and the ones I post are all memory, not in alphbetical order, nor are they cut & pasted from anywhere. I think if you dislike the lists, maybe you shouldn't read them! What a concept, huh?

sometimes if I make long lists..........20-25 max, I know and listen to every song/artist that I list

yea, but i make extremely long band lists.

but they're not in alphabetical order, because i just list them from memory.

i sometime do lists, from 80's era but i never paste and there always off the top of my head.. and i only list what i listen to..i dont know if people hate it when i do it, but i dont mean to upset anybody..
