Is it legal to pick the door lock with a very sharp knife (you know...how it is done), assuming this is your bedroom door and you locked it but accidentally left your keys inside?

No, but the 2nd amendment of the constitution protects your right to blow it apart with any gun you can get your hands on.
Checking that your friend, kid or pet is not on the other side is not mentioned in the Constitution, and so it is totally optional should you choose a gun that will actually fire all the way through.

lol well yeh. this is in ur house and the authority will neer know and they will never care if it is your lock. now if u go around and pick everyone elses then ur in big trouble. but nope no trouble at all for picing ur own lock bud!!

yeah if you wanted to you could drive your car through the door as long as it is your property.
