Do you forgive people for what they have done?

I forgive because we are not all perfect beings. We are allowed to make mistakes. There are only 2 people in my life I have not forgiven. So, like I said, it takes a lot for me not to forgive a person.

I try. It isn't easy, but it is something you must do.

Not only that, but you must forgive yourself also.

Anything else is a waste of energy and damages your spirit.

Hate and resentment can consume you while the other person is likely living their life with little to no ill effect. They can't hear your thoughts and why would they?

I find it might be easier to forgive someone rather than forget about what they've done. I tend to hold onto things for a very long time because of their actions. I can forgive them and even love them, but I'm not forgetting about the time they really hurt me!

It depends. I normally say I forgive someone but I tend to hold a secret grudge against them, until I eventually forget.
