the snow challenged me to come outside and shovel it...... and my dog challenged me to take him for a walk. but it's 14F, and i'm just getting over a bad cold, and i hate cold weather............

Yes. One of my main obsessions is spelling and literacy and ALL my colleagues know that, so when the girl I was working with was writing the tea menu on the board and wrote 'ham and tomatoe flan' I silently and without fuss rubbed the 'e' out. She put it straight back saying that that was how its spelt. I corrected her with the obvious "only when it's plural." but she was adamant and we had a little heated discussion during which the 'e' got rubbed out and reapplied several more times. In the end, I left it and she crowed that I was admitting I was wrong.
No, I was the bigger person but it was she who was wrong. and it's 'trifle' NOT 'triffle'! I'm sure they just do it to annoy me.

Just the weather...it was 78 degrees here yesterday...today it is 24 with a 30 mph north wind!

Yeah! New bosses have imposed new terms and conditions upon us, so my working day has now increased by an extra 20% .... I do get extra pay for it.... 5%
