I have a project due this monday and I gotta do it today since I know I'm gonna be real busy after thanksgivings. Please give me an answer. I check up and post additional details.

It works now. I just gotta keep the Ethernet cord in and sit next to the big white computer. That's the networks mainframe. UGH! THANKS EVERYONE!

Unplug the router and turn off the computer. Wait a minute and restart the router and then the computer after the router lights show it ready. Maybe it work then. This best I know on here.

This could be caused by many things. Try this:

At the bottom right corner of your screen to the left of the clock there should be a little icon that looks like 2 computer screens. Double click on it. On the box that pops up click the support tab then click repair.

Does it say this for ALL web pages? Usually, if you're not connected, the message is, "Unable to contact server." In your case, you're getting, "The address is not valid," which, I would think, might mean, something else.

You might want to try, something else. Check with your ISP, and (if it's a different company as in, grrr, my case, your router/modem company) to make sure you're not having connection/configuration problems of some sort. You might have to, for example, reconfigure a modem and/or router from scratch, as I did. Lots of grief, moaning, and groaning on my part, and lots of tolerance and politeness and patience on theirs.

Be patient with support, and try ALL of them, your router/modem folks IN ADDITION to your ISP. You may have to diddle your Internet Options. You may have to check that, your connection says, "Never dial" a connection. You may have to check that you're authorized to visit that particular website...or your browser or your antivirus software isn't filtering it out.

Good luck!
