When I want ideas for what to get someone for Christmas I just look around their home to see what kinds of things they like. Everyone has their own design style and you can never go wrong with something that fits it. Candles are a nice gift too although you may want to look at getting an unusual style of candle like Woodwick (http://www.timelesscandles.com/woodwick-candles.html) they are beautiful, smell great and even have a pleasant sound when they burn.

I think that if the husband is an electronics kind of guy, then he might like a small gadget from a store like brookstone or radioshack. I know that there are a bunch of different little toy helicopters called Air Hogs Havoc helis that run about $25. I got one last Christmas and despite it's cheapness it is still a blast to fly around inside!

Simply don't tell her that you are in labor until after the baby is born. There is no reason that a woman in labor needs to call and announce to everyone that the baby is coming. Keep it btw you and your husband until after it's all over. If that doesn't work out for some reason, the hospital staff will not allow anyone in the delivery room w/o your ok. L&D units are usually locked so she would need to be allowed in by the staff, she can't just walk in whenever she feels like it.

If you are looking for non expensive stuff then definitely no gift vouchers...u dont want em to know how much u have spent :)
something for the house for the mum in law eg: painting, plant, crockery
and again something for the house for the sis in law so tht u wont have to gift something separately to her husband :)

Well, your sister-in-law and her husband are pretty easy, I would get them something for their home (vase, candles, figurine, table centerpiece, etc.) or something they can share (gift card, gourmet chocolates, pricey bottle of wine, dinner for two at their favorite restaurant, etc.) . Even if it's a little pricey, your just getting one gift.
Mother-in-law is a little trickier. One safe thing to do is to have your husband shop for it or have him go with you, that way you have a better chance of getting something she likes (if she doesn't like it, you can blame him lol). He will probably boast about picking it out. Lotion/bath baskets are nice too (for any woman). Costume jewelry is nice (and inexpensive) you can usually find it at Walmart or Target. You can get a bracelet, necklace and matching earings for less than $20.00 and they come in really nice colors. Also moms LOVE personalized gifts. If you know how to knit, sew, crouchet make her something. You can make a hat and scarf set with just to skeens of yarn (less than $15.00) in her favorite color.
You shouldn't sweat it and instead of thinking "OMG I'm shopping for my inlaws" relax! Take your husband along to help, he's been through birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and should know his own family.
Good Luck!
