My oven was working properly, now only my range works. I tried blowing out the holes in my oven and got it to turn on, but now the clicking noise does not go away. What should I do???

If it is your oven that is constantly clicking it is your igniter module that is not sensing that the oven has become ignited. However testing it is a tricky proposition. Contact me if you're interested in the procedure.

If youve got an 'electronic ignition' gas stove/oven (no pilot lights), you will find that they 'click' when trying to light the flame. The 'ignitor' is controlled by a module, and sometimes the ignitor itself, or the module goes out, and needs to be replaced. Sometimes the ignitor will click repeatedly without lighting, or there will be no clicking at all... or.. it will click when its not supposed to, hehehe. (The same technology is used in energy efficient 'pilotless' furnaces)

This will take a service call, as the parts are not commonly found on store shelves.

I'd suggest you locate a local appliance service company, and call them with your Brand/model number, and describe the noise.

Good Luck

Dude I had that problem about 2 months ago.My oven was clicking every 2 minutes, all day.We had to replace a part in the back.I think it was a modular. But anyway that took care of it.
