Call the doctor's office. Most of the time, they will want to see you around 8 - 10 weeks, unless there is a history of complications. (By the way, that's 8 - 10 weeks from the start of your last period.)

You can call your Dr. Right away to get a blood test done. They normally wont see you until 10 weeks- and You can't even get an ultrasound till almost that far in. I guess if your HcG levels arn't high enough and Ultrasound wont show anything. I got my first Ultrasound at 10 weeks and My 2nd will be at 21 weeks. Good luck to you!!

you make an appoinment right away, they confirm pregnancy, do the blood work and family history. get you on some pre natal vitamins. you probebly wont get an ultrasound unless they or u dont know your last period date, or if there is confusion on how far along you are. they may not see you again untill you are 12 weeks and thats when the will just do the heart beat, your blood pressure, pap. ultrasound is normally around 20 weeks otherwise

Some doctors dont even want to see you until you are about 8-12 weeks. You can always go to get blood work done to just test for pregnancy again. Start the folic acid ASAP and get on prenatal vitamins. Thats what they will tell you. Congrats!

I got a positive pregnancy test and I called the doctor immediately the next day. They were able to take me only based on the fact that they had a cancellation, but I am sure they would take you as soon as they can.

As soon as you get the positive test you should call the doctor to make an appointment. Generally they won't schedule until you are about 8 weeks or so, unless you start having complications.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You do need to call your doctor and schedule an appointment within the next few days. It isn't an urgent type of thing unless you start to bleed or have any unusual cramping. My doctor had me come in for a nurses visit where she got all my history and all that important stuff. They will also do all of your blood work at that time. Best of luck!

I went the day after. He weighed me, took my blood pressure and confirmed the pregnancy with a urine test, gave me a sheet to get blood work done at the lab and told me to come back at what would put me around 9-10 weeks

Different doctor have different preferences... If you want to come in and have blood work done to re assure you that you are pregnant or you do not know how far along you are, you can go ahead and set up an apt now. But, they will let you know when you will have your 1st prenatal. Most clinics want to wait at least 6 weeks.
