Most peoples have some sort of holiday for giving thanks. And it is often linked to the harvests (around the same time as thanksgiving)
Just think, if we didnt have thanksgiving then for us it would be Tax Day

I'd like to give thanks to all the ANZAC's, they already have their own day but another one couldn't hurt.
