Definitely so. There was an excellent documentary called Hitler and Stalin: Roots of Evil, that showed how each of them had very dysfunctional early lives. That, combined with psychopathic personalities, created two incredibly dangerous men. There is a series of YouTube videos that show the documentary.

Everyone was abused in their day. Hitler was driven insane by trench warfare. Stalin was just another Russian.

Hitler didn't have a traumatic childhood, so no!

I think it was more a case of them being wicked, corrupted by power, and racist bastards. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Hitler had an adoring, over protective mother and his father died when he was quite young. He was not abused.

No, their behaviour was exceptional Lots of people suffer worse abuse but don't murder millions of people.
