Thank God for that. Along with banning driver aids, we may get some real racing in the foreseeable future. They say they are reacting to a request from the teams...the teams must be fed up with compulsory tyre changes too.

It's certainly very encouraging but I was under the impression that the FIA wanted to bring slick tyres back for 2008.
Still, it's a huge step in the right direction for F1.

Well, I can understand why they want to wait until 2009 to possibily use the tires. To switch all of a sudden to slicks would more than likely throw out a lot of testing that is done.

But that is absolutley great that they might be going back to slicks.

Finally!!! Now we can see what these car can really do. Lateral G's will be higher then ever. With the ban on traction control it was a move gladly welcomed!!!

Why do they have to wait so ******* long. Why can't they just test them and introduce them in the 2008 season.
