I have an ati radeon 2600 pro 512mb, 1.5Gb Ram and every now and then it freezes but the mouse stays ok just i cannot click anything so i have to restart, whats going on!!?

This is caused in most cases by video cards or another thing might be that not all processors support all video cards, example, from my experience nVIDIA video cards work well on Intel processors while on AMD processors work well ATI video cards(not sure this is only from my knowledge). Another thing might be that you either had to change the refresh rate of you're monitor, update video drivers or you're monitor may not be supported by the video card.

Try updating your video drivers.
