I know that's a horrible word, so sorry for using it, but I couldn't think of another one. The reason I ask, is lots of girls in my class talk about sex and stuff, and I am interested and I do know all about it, but today, one of my friends said "You're miles away, what are you thinking about?" And then I realised I was thinking about how cool it would be if I could really play with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and Piglet and them all. Like hide and seek say. And I was wondering if there might be a computer game where I could, and all babyish stuff like that, and I'm wondering if at 13 I am not quite right in the head to think baby stuff like that. None of my friends do.

oh dont worry about it, your better off thinking about disney than sex anyways. dont worry about it, it dosnt make you mentally handicap, it makes you a kid and thats what you are.

You're not retarded. I'm only 18 and when I was 13 it was perfectly normal to still like Pooh. Heck I was just talking to my best friend yesterday about Pooh. There is nothing wrong with you. When i was 13 I still played with dolls. They're talking about sex because they think it's the "mature" thing to do. The most mature thing you can do is not let this immature little girl get you down and to not talk about that stuff. Sex should be talked about among couples that are in long term relationships, more then a year. When I was 13 we talked about getting our periods and kissing not having sex. We were curious about what it was but not enough so to bring it up in conversation. Boy it's only been 5 almost 6 years and how things have changed. It's PERFECTLY normal to not want to get into a conversation about sex. You're better of for it. Good Luck.

i am thirteen too, i will be 14 in about a month. i love Pohh and Piglet and Tigger. i actually got a sticker of them and put it on my planner. yeah i know exactly what u mean. everyone is always talking about how hott this guy is and stuff like that. ( and i do like guys but i am not the type of person to blab when i have a crush) and my friends are just used to me now. NO U R NOT retarded!! yr normal. there is more to life than just Boys and sex and stuff, always enjoy yr childhood.

It doesn't make you retarded! It makes you a normal 13 year old girl. So many girls try to grow up too fast. Good for you that you aren't. I would bet you anything that if you could read those girls thoughts that they are thinking of similar things too. They may be thinking like you are that they are too old for such things. But they aren't.
There's nothing wrong with being a kid and thinking about those things at your age. I'm sure the other girls have "babyish" thoughts too. They just won't admit it.

You're not mentally retarded, or even emotionally retarded. No, I wouldn't use that term at all.
Everyone matures at a different rate. Your rate isn't the same as those girls, but that doesn't mean it's wrong. Don't worry about it. You'll be interested in the things they are soon enough. In the meantime, don't let them make you feel bad. That's what girls your age do to make themselves feel superior -- try to make someone else feel inferior.
