The book I had was about me and my friend as we set out on an adventure. I can't remember details, but one part was about our zodiac signs.

Well it might have been one of the personalized books they sold at the mall. You had to choose one of 10 plots and they injected your personal info in it.

Oh, yes, I remember those books. They were around in the very early 80's, and maybe late 70's too... a grandparent bought them for my kid, who read a couple, got to choose from various plots-- she liked them fairly well. They were okay until you read all the outcomes, then they were done.

Other books held her interest longer, or in other words there were better books she wanted to read, and read more often, than those books in which she was a character.

They were definitely a good sell on the marketing end, but maybe not so memorable in regards to skill put into them. But here we are, remembering them!

I had one in which my friend and I were doing something with Disney's the Fox and the Hound. My son has one now where he is the star of the baseball team. I think there are lots of them. I've never seen one with zodiac signs though. Sorry!

Were they 'Choose Your Own Adventure' books? Basically you read the first page or so, and it says "if you want to _____, turn to page 3; if you want to _______, turn to page 5". It goes on like that until you reach the end (which usually resulted in me dying, lol).

I was just talking to my hubby last night about those. You could choose where the story went and there were several different possible endings. I loved those.. I have no idea what they were called.
