Being afraid of aliens is both natural and reasonable. We fear the unknown. That is a survival trait that has kept a lot of us in the gene pool for the last several million years. Since any aliens would present unknown dangers and challenges, as well as opportunities, they should be treated with extreme caution.
That's why, whenever I visit Earth to abduct humans for examination, I put on my gray hooded suit with dark glasses to protect myself from diseases and contamination.

The movie "fire in the sky" scared the crap out of me when I was young and my whole childhood fear was being kidnapped by aliens. The fact that it was "based on a true story" didnt help much either.

Any fear of aliens is unreasonable, because there is absolutely no scientific evidence that aliens exist. Why fear something which isn't there?

Yeah, I use to go camping near the Mexican border all the time...now I'm too freaked out that I'll run into illegal aliens or smugglers that might do harm to me and my family.

Not unreasonable and only the kind that have no valid legal identification, drivers license or insurance, but drive anyway.

The "fear" is not "unreasonable..."
