I have had Macs most of my life and like ALL computers they get viruses. Yes it is true that most viruses are made for Windows based computers, there are still viruses out there for Macs. Oh and now that Macs have the capability to run both operating systems, Macs are getting viruses more often.
Don't listen to someone that tells you that a Mac NEVER gets a virus. Oh and they crash too. I was told that they don't crash, but I proved that salesman SO wrong! HA HA~!

Yes that is very true. You have to understand the people out there making viruses are making them for windows based software and things like that. Theirs no sense in making a virus for mac because the world primarily uses windows .

There are a lot less viruses for Mac's than PC's, but that's because they are a lower percentage of the computer population. Less people use Mac's, so less people make viruses for them. Plus most of the Mac using population are either musicians or hippies (Mac's are great for music and video editing.)

ALMOST never...On very rare occasions someone comes up with a virus for mac, but the OS is upgraded so much it doesn't last long.

Ditto ShallowEnd. While MacOSx is a bit more safe, by design, to viruses, the main reason there is less malware around, is that MacOSx is not yet popular enough to draw the attention of malware creators.
