Murtha challenged information coming from military leaders, saying, "Because the Pentagon says it, you believe it? You believe what the Pentagon says? ... All the things that they've told us? Go back and look: mission accomplished; al Qaeda connection; weapons of mass destruction. On and on and on and you believe the Pentagon?"
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/11/20/iraq.funding.dems/index.html
Murtha's got a point, doesn't he?
After all of the misinformation fed to the American public from the Pentagon, are we really going to believe them, especially with Bush at the helm?
How much longer can we continue writing Bush "blank checks" ?
SHOULD we keep writing him "blank checks" for the war in Iraq?
Has there ever been a time in history when a leader, president, etc. has cost the country so much due to war, spread our military so thin and in spite of the rising cost of the war has CUT taxes and insisted they remain in place?
Has there ever been a president more destructive?

Bryan~ here is some info for you:
WHEN ASKED SPECIFICALLY ABOUT AN IRAQ - 9/11 LINK, CHENEY SAID IT WAS “PRETTY WELL CONFIRMED”:
RUSSERT: Do you still believe there is no evidence that Iraq was involved in September 11?
CHENEY: “Well, what we now have that’s developed since you and I last talked, Tim, of course, was that report that—it’s been pretty well confirmed that [9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta] did go to Prague and he did meet with a senior official of the Iraqi intelligence service in Czechoslovakia last April, several months before the attack.” [NBC, Meet The Press, 12/9/01]
EVEN AFTER THE WAR BEGAN, WHEN SPECIFICALLY ASKED, CHENEY SUGGESTED THERE MIGHT BE AN IRAQ - 9/11 CONNECTION:
RUSSERT: The Washington Post asked the American people about Saddam Hussein, and this is what they said: 69 percent said he was involved in the September 11 attacks. Are you surprised by that?
CHENEY: No. I think it’s not surprising that people make that connection.
MR. RUSSERT: But is there a connection?
VICE PRES. CHENEY: We don’t know.
[NBC, Meet the Press, 11/14/03]
CHENEY SAID IRAQ WAS THE “GEOGRAPHIC BASE” FOR 9/11 HIJACKERS:
CHENEY: If we’re successful in Iraq, … we will have struck a major blow right at the heart of the base, if you will, the geographic base of the terrorists who have had us under assault now for many years, but most especially on 9/11.” [NBC, Meet The Press, 9/14/03]
Read the rest of it here http://thinkprogress.org/2005/12/01/lynne-cheney-unhinged/
And there are a lot more examples of the 9/11 - Iraq lie being perpetuated, just open your eyes.
But, you are right depending on how you interpret what a lie is or what is misleading to the point of being a lie. However, for people to claim that our President and his people did not perpetuate a lie to the american people about the 9/11 - Iraq connection is at least equivalent to Bill Clinton stating that he "did not have sexual relations with that woman" because he did not interpret what he did as sexual relations.
Face it, this administration is the worst bunch of liars to ever assemble in Washington.

Jack Murtha would have to stick his senseless head in a pencil sharpener to have a point.
You're just another one parroting tired talking points that are largely nothing more than lies.
Show me where ANYONE ever said Iraq was behind 9/11.
You can't.
Why? Because the President never said that.
Mission accomplished... well, if you really paid attention to the war and not to idiots like Murtha, you'd know that the mission, as it was set, WAS accomplished.
We defeated the Iraqi military, deposed Saddam and gave the Iraqi people a chance at freedom. That was the goal... it was achieved.
What is going on over there now is not the war... it's a police action to stabilize the country due to insurgents from other countries and civil unrest amongst warring factions there in Iraq.
Grab a dictionary and look those terms up... the Liberals won't tell you what they mean.
I'm just very thankful that Jackass Murtha and those who give him even the least bit of credibility weren't around during WWII or we'd all be speaking Japanese by now!

i want to thank you for protecting this undertaking interior the foreground. We could shop attempting to get others to work out the fact. the human beings that parrot the main significant bypass media have not given any concept of their very own to the education. What does it take to warmth metallic sufficient to weaken it? a non-supply up direct warmth and a quantity of time. The extra warmth the fewer time. 3000 tiers for 3 hrs might do it. The towers had an open flame that grew to become into traveling around the floor eating the combustibles because it went. It did no longer have "time" to warmth any of the metallic no longer to show warm sufficient. some thing warm to human beings isn't so warm to metallic. Propane burns warmer then jet gasoline, we've propane barbecue's and that they do no longer soften or weaken as quickly as we cook dinner in them for hours. A relaxing test may well be to work out how lengthy it took to warmth a stainless flatware to the place you should no longer carry the safeguard. alongside with roasting marshmallows on a fork over a lit candle. i be responsive to my spoon safeguard in my warm espresso in no way heats sufficient to burn my hands. The open flames did no longer warmth the metallic to a weakening factor. The Osama Bin weighted down confession tape could be proved fake through comparing the guy in it to the photograph of Bin weighted down on the FBI internet site. See for your self. Why might our government could fake a tape? except they're hiding some thing. Why are the photos of the Pentagon that have been interior the newspapers good after 9/11 look photograph shopped. Why might they try this? except they're hiding some thing. once you watch WTC 7 fall, watch the roof side. We see a minimum of two components. It feels like the development grew to become into on an elevator and somebody pushed the down button. the only way that should ensue may well be to take out each and all the collumns on the backside on an identical time. There for it ought to no longer be a special Phenomenon as NIST says. Why is it so significant that the government to silence 9/11 reality in the event that they have not got some thing to conceal. in case you do no longer beleive that the government does no longer dream some thing like this up, verify out "Operation Northwoods" connect the 9/11 study community and do the study your self. in case you digital mail me, i visit offer you sites for extra information to study.

Murtha is a disgrace to this country. I will believe the Pentagon, who gets their information from people in Iraq, rather then Murtha who gets his information from CNN. By the way Murtha, how is your home district doing lately?
We need to continue to fund our troops in battle. America is outraged that this DEMOCRATIC Congress would hang our troops without proper funding to continue the war effort to keep you safe.

Thanks for your support. And I truly care about the welfare of our troops; it's why I thought a few of them would be safer if locked away at Camp Pendelton.

Why is it that you libs never believe the government, when there is obvious facts behind their statements, but will jump on Rosie's bandwagon of conspiracy theories when there is no fact behind, just left wing crazy talk?
