I wouldn't tell anyone.
Life is hard enough without brining other people down.
You can't prepare for that anyway. I mean even when you think you are prepared, when it finally happens you realize you were not prepared at all.
It happened to me when a loved one had a prolonged illness and we all knew she was going to die.
I'd just spend more time with my family and be thankful for the time I have left.
I'd also make sure I had my will in order.
