i can honestly say that my baby is now 3 weeks old i carried him 40.5 weeks, and at 34 weeks i started trying all the things you did, and nothing worked....NOTHING i completely understand how you are feeling, but honestly i would tell your DOC how much pain you are in, cause i did and thats how i got scheduled to be induced at 40.6 weeks but i guess the thought of the induction scared my baby out that night! so really good luck, but i just wanted to tell you the honest truth, if the baby does not want to come then theres nothing you can do about it! but if you go into the office crying saying you cant sleep and have not ate in days, and that you are really depressed then they CAN do and induction no matter what they say, my doc said no at first, the i did this, and suddenly his answer changed! good luck!

I would try to talk to the doctor about what you can do to be more comfortable and wait a week or two more.
I have always heard that the longer the baby is in the womb the stronger it will be. And that the lungs are not fully developed until 37 weeks.
You have made it this far, I am sure you can make it a bit longer. Also, have you thought about an epidural? I have had two and had no pain during birth. It was a good experience for me and plan to have another in March.
Good Luck.

If you have tried all of those things and nothing has worked.. It looks like your baby just doesnt want to come out yet! Which even though you dont want it.., is fine your baby still has a little bit of time in their left to "cook" I mean whats another couple weeks? I feel like im about to die at 37 wks 4 days but im still here :) Only time will tell only time will tell good luck!

I don't have any tips for you about inducing labor, but I do what to tell you my story. With this pregnancy I was all for inducing my self once I was about 34-35 weeks. My two previous children where both induced at 35 weeks and completely fine. So, I was going to do what I could to induce myself at 35 weeks this time, they were fine, so he should too. Well, at 34 weeks and 4 days, I had to go to the hospital for contractions, I was already dilated to 3 from pre-term labor at 31 weeks. I was at 9.5 centemeters and was lucky to have made it to the hospital and was was bleeding very bad. I had to have an emergency C-Section. This was a week ago today, and my little boy is still in the hospital, and will not be home til atleast next week. He had several problems.
So please just remember because your other children where ok early, this one might not be!!

Your baby releases hormones into your blood stream when its prepared for survival outside the womb- this in turn causes the release of your labor hormones, resulting in active labor and delivery.
Weight is not the indicator of fetal development. Its scientifically proven that the lungs and liver and renal systems, not to mention the nervous system are not fully developed until AFTER the 37th week. Its not that a baby cannot thrive before then, its the fact that the lack of development causes issues to arrise later in life.
Why risk the health of your adult child because you didnt want to chill out that extra few weeks? Its really not that long compared to a life time.
Until then, deal with everything else like every other pregnant woman does. By the skin of your teeth. Its just part of life.

Your baby isn't ready to come out until he decides to. As you can tell, that's why he's not out yet. Anyways, have you tried walking? I did a lot of walking and prenatal yoga while I was pregnant. My son arrived at 36 weeks and 3 days through natural birth.

Mine was 2 weeks late and STILL had to be born by caesarian as after 14 days over 40 weeks the placenta starts dying. I'd just wait and see if I were you, try not to force it.

If your baby was ready then he's come out. You are not fullterm until 37 weeks. The lungs may not be matured by now. I'm 21 weeks with a baby that measures big and am as uncomfortable as I was with my first at 32 weeks. It's part of being pregnant.

i think that if your baby was ready, then he/she would let you know. my doctor told me that once i hit 37 weeks, my baby's matured. you've only got a few more weeks.
good luck!
