Hormone blockers are pills or they can be injections and have a variety of uses from helping with different illnesses like cancer or sex changes etc. Every situation is unique, you would need to talk with your doc. & see what he/she has to say.

Why would you want to block hormones?
They do an important job for your body. If you do not have enough hormones in your body, whether estrogens or androgens, you will have many problems. For example osteoporosis.
As to what hormones you specifically want to block, this would dictate the type of treatment that you would need.
