I had a transvaginal ultrasound at 5 weeks and we saw the gestational sac...2 days later we saw the yolk sac as well.

It may be a bit early to see and you might be earlier than you thought.

That would make you around 7 1/2 weeks gestation (A pregnancy is counted from the first day of last period, so that the first 2 weeks there is no baby yet), and a baby and heartbeat would have been seen by then. I saw my current pregnancy at 6 weeks, 4 weeks past conception and saw the baby and heartbeat fluttering. At 8 weeks I saw the baby moving it's little limbs around.

Yes! I had the exact same thing happen to me.....At 5 weeks they didn't see a baby or a sac and then at 7 weeks the baby was there and fine....It didn't have a happy ending, but make sure you get a follow up ultrasound. and 7 weeks gestation makes the baby 5 weeks old.......

At 5 weeks it's too early to see the baby but you would see a gestational sac. You are not pregnant.
