A friend was recently charged with money laundering in Harris county Houston Texas. I don't know how they law up there work so I was wondering what kind of time can he get with that?

It depends, but at the worst you can get the death penalty.

That sounds like it would be a federal crime. Probably a violated on RICO or something like that. I would expect the sentence to be the same in Houston, LA, New York, or Chicago.
