I will soon be selling E-books and i have seen several on Ebay where the sellers have managed to create graphic so that it looks like the E-book comes in a retail-style box.
Are there any suggestions abput how i might go about getting this image (which will have to be chagnmed for each different E-book i have) or whether there's any particular graphics programme & template i can use to make it?

Instead of the mega expensive PhotoShop (in UK), get PaintShop Pro .. a fraction of the price for about 95% of the functions you are ever likely to use ..

PS Those FAKE 'books' REALLY wind me up .. I totally HATE it when scam artists on eBay try to pretend that you will receive a real paper bound book when in fact all they are offering is a PDF email attachment (which may or may not be riddled with viruses)

Get the worlds best image creation and editing program Adobe Photoshop.

As a photoshop user myself, I would create the main cover flat, then use the SKEW function to create perspective, and manipulate to the box structure.

A quick cheat would be to download a similar image/structure which you wish to lay up to and simply overlay your skewed image to the cover.

Unless you have used Photoshop, this answer probably sounds confusing, but is actually quite simple in practice.

In short:

1: Grab a copy image of the Structure you wish to lay up to.
2: Create/Get artwork flat.
3: SKEW created artwork over downloaded image.
