If the history of the Iberians landing in Britain were taught at primary school level, would this not help to cure or lessen the Xenophobic attitude of certain elements of British Society?

I doubt it. We are already taught that we are the product of successive waves of migration and invasion, and it makes no odds to the here and now.

It might lessen the xenophobia in ANY society not just British.

Some people will always seek to prove their superiority but only end up looking stupid.

eg Hitler, Mussolini, Chairman Mao.

i wish, i just recently heard that we irish come from just three spanish weman!!! how cool is that?
people dont really need a reason to hate
they do it because they want to, usually based on some envy or a desire to blame someone else for there problems.
nothing about our history will change that if anything it confirms it
lets be realistic people have stated wars based on nothing!!
(no im not taking about afganistan or iraq, there are other wars in the world!!!)

Maybe but in every country there is al arge proportion of people who suffer the delusion of racial superiority
