Usually the first week of December.*

No, I usually wait a week before Christmas. It's hard to have a tree with a bunch of little kids, last year my twin boys put tabasco sauce in the tree's water and all the needles started falling out! I'm almost afraid to get a live tree again but my husband seems to think they've changed a lot between age 4 and 5 -- I think he just wants to see them do it again because he thought it was funny. I also know it was my brother who gave the idea to the boys because my brother did that when we were kids too.

No,because I do not love Comed that much! Electric bills are
getting as bad as gas bills, at least in Illinois, and I do believe there is a sneaky campaign to have more decorations for more holidays, each year.
for example, when did we start putting up lights for the 4th of July,(red white and blue),Easter lights )pink green and yellow)
and even Halloween lights (all different color orange, with a big black spider in the center? I do it the old school way, they go up Christmas week, and come down the day after New years! At least I will give it the all American try, I'm raising my small grandchildren that's how I wound up with the "orange lights and spider on Halloween"! (smile)

Hello,
No, I think we will just use our real live tree that is outside our house.

Make sure you water your tree enough, Christmas trees inside the house take a lot of water a day.....

Unfortunately I live at a school. I think they'd get pissed off if I started digging a hole on their property. Of course I could always dig one right in the center director's office and plant the tree right there. As shiny as his bald head is it would get plenty of sunlight.

Yep! We will be gone the week before Christmas and throughout, so we want to enjoy the tree as long as possible. (It's a fake tree - so much easier to deal with)

I'll be putting mine up tonight after work! I'm really in the Christmas mood this year for some reason.
