Is wax bakeable?

My lava lamp stopped working, and it looks like its been baked. Is baking wax in a lava lamp possible?

Don't try to heat that thing in the oven.

wax is breakable and it sounds like you need to throw it out..something went wrong and you dont want to casue a fire by trying to run it again
