Hi, i'm 23 and I spend £250 a month on drinking on nights out in town which equates to about £3,000 a year. Is this too much?

That's a lot. Surely there are better uses for that kind of money. Start saving for the big things like a car or house instead, and you'll be way ahead of the game.
A good general rule about alcohol is that if you feel any need to ask whether you are overdoing it, then you are.

Not for a 23 year old. It's faily common to drink to access at that age. If you're still spending that much when you're 30, seek help, but hopefully by then you'll discover you can get laid without the alcohol.
When I was 23, beer was 10 cents a glass...pitchers were 75 cents. Happy hour was all you could drink in 30 minutes for a quarter.

To tell u the truth i prolly spend a bit more the other night i went out and spent about 260 US dollars I was haten life the next day

if it bothers you a lot, why not give it a try to reduce it, but if its just fine for you and you have lots of money FOR NOW, then its just OK but how about TOMORROW? you'll never know when will you need much money, too much is dangerous, so good luck and GOD BLESS

Thats only £60 a week.
In expensive clubs you can easily spend that in a night.
