I hear these questions about the greatest ever, and I know the logical answer because he did something stupid to ruin his legacy. But why do people forget how amazing he was in college. How the Celtics broke up their dynasty to get the first pick in the draft for him, and how he man handled Jordan when he was in college. Until I die I will preach that Len Bias was the greatest ever

6 scoring titles and never in the top 50 in FG percentage? Really that great? I am not convinced.

He was a loser who threw his life away. Greatness in college does not always translate to greatness in the NBA. He never got his shot and it was his own fault. Sorry dude but i am positive Jordan would have smoked him in the pros. Let's see...6 NBA Titles, 5 MVP's, 6 NBA Final MVP's, and had the highest points per game average in the history of the NBA. Jordan is the best ever...by far.

6 scoring titles?? He had 10 scoring titles.

I think the way he died affected his legacy because he made a bad choice.

I don't think people forgot about him, but you can't really compare him to a Jordan or a Magic because you never really got to see his full potential.

What if he didn't die from an overdose? Perhaps his cocaine problem would have kept him from becoming one of the best ever? Perhaps he would have been the NBA version of Doc Gooden or Darryl Strawberry.

We will never know. I do agree he was a college stud. Better than Oden or Durant.

because he never did anything in the NBA thats why
those of us who remember him from college knew he was going to be something special - but people like that are more common than you think - ive played in ghettos and projects where the greatest athletes that would blow your mind play but they just cant get their crap together to do things like show up for a practice everyday and listen to an authority figure like a coach without getting all emotional and violent
and turning to drugs and whores

You sound like someone who doesn't know anything about basketball. And Jordan was frequently among the league leaders in field goal percentage... that's including centers and forwards. Again, you're an idiot.

well it helps if you don't kill yourself before you ever enter an NBA game.

He had the potential to be the greatest player ever, and will be remembered as one of the greatest college BBall players ever. But not the best overall b/c he never did it against the competition of the NBA.

Nowadays even the highest level of amatuer sport doesn't really count for too much, it seems.
