Unfortunatly my son and his wife and I are having a serious feud! My daughter, knowing Thanksgiving is my favorite family holiday refuses to go to his house for dinner since we all cannot be together so she is having dinner with her husbands family. I decided not to let my son ruin my favorite holiday so I invited my cousin and her family for dinner and also a neighbor who was going to have to spend the holiday alone. I care about everyone who will be at my table but everyone I care about will not be there.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

No. Unfortunately, not. But I will see my family after Thanksgiving.
My parents and brothers were going to come up to our house but my husband was concerned that it might be more people than we could handle comfortably. My parents offered their house but my in laws didn't want to travel the extra 10 minutes to get to my parents' house.
I usually look forward to Thanksgiving and being with family but this year I'm not and it's because I'm a bit turned off with my in laws and how they treat their kids. They are reasonably pleasant but can be a bit harsh. To date, it has taken me by surprise. I'm not expecting to hear those kind of comments. (digs, criticism, etc.) I know I'm not alone but it doesn't make me feel better you know. (I feel very much for those in this kind of situation.)
