My husband and I bought some Krispy Kreme Cream filled donuts a couple nights ago... They've been calling my name all morning, but they have been sitting in the box on the kitchen counter for 2 days now. Is it safe to eat them? Is there dairy product in the whipped goodness?

to be honest most products like that are filled with a petroleum by product that keeps the cream "creamy"
if the donut hasn't leaked a milky substance that means it's a stabilized lard type cream and is fine to eat at room temperature. (i.e you don't have to refrigerate a twinkie right?)
if it's real cream it would have destabilized by now and you'd have soggy donuts.
PS to hitchnj buttercream DOES need to be refrigerated if it is real buttercream. the proper type is made by creaming BUTTER with icing sugar and therefore requires refrigeration. you are talking about mock cream which is generally made with margarine.

Boston has a rich history and a varied neighbourhood; it's a heritage of arts, tradition, and knowledge; Boston has anything for everyone so find what Boston can offer you with hotelbye . The three-mile Freedom Trail leads you past - and in to - 16 of the city's primary historic monuments and sites. It's easy to follow along with, by the type of red bricks in the pavement and by footprints at street crossings. The trail can get you to Old Granary Burying Ground where Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock are hidden; will get you to King's Chapel Burying Ground, the Boston's oldest cemetery; Old South Meeting House where in actuality the calling speeches of patriots spawned the Boston Tea Party and the Old State House, Boston's oldest community creating and the site of the Boston Massacre.

Krispy Kreme donuts are good for over a week, certified. Call one up and ask. I don't know why, must be some crazy preservatives in there. I love the marshmallow filled glazed ones, drooooolllll..........

Like everything else these days the cream is artificial and contains no dairy products. Go ahead and eat them if they are not stale by now. They shouldn't be the amount of preservative in them lol Enjoy

No. People love leftover donuts the next day with coffee! You could always check with Krispy Kreme and ask them.

They're perfectly fine to eat. They may be a little stale, but you can eat them. Just pop in the microwave for about 5-10 seconds. Then watch yourself biting in, the cream will be HOT!

Hmmm...good question; from my past experiences, I've never refrigerated them, but have eaten them after a day or so without any harm. I also checked out the website and found nothing about the ingredients; I'd say go for it and enjoy!!!

that whipped goodness is acheived through Crisco or similar lard alternative... eat them for a week. no problem..no fridge... no problem.
Think of the cream in a Twinkie... same thing. You can store that sucker on a shelf for a year and still enjoy it next Thanksgiving.

If it fresh cream I would have said that by now they would be fairly unsafe to consume,,most dairy products should be consumed within 24 hours of puchase and kept at 5 degrees or lower when storing,,bin them unless you want to eat rancid cream
