Has anybody who lives in Lititz or Lancaster ever heard of or been to Bracken shoe repair?

The shop has recently closed. I reproduce here part of an article:

"After saving soles for 36½ years, Arthur Bracken has hung up his apron.

The shoemaker is one of a dying breed as throwaway shoes have nearly shelved the need for the centuries-old shoe-repair industry.

But Bracken, 68, is not treading away quietly.

The "shoe man's" friendly service and genuine care for his customers left a mark on three generations. Some cried when they heard his shop at 93 Front St. in Lititz closed Sept. 29."
