While this country is made up and originated from ex-foreigners (I say "ex" because once you're a citizen you're not a foreigner anymore and neither are your offspring), I feel we are allowing too many to come here and take advantages of the system we have set up to take care of ourselves.
I do not think we should keep everyone out, but limit the amount of people who are coming in because as big of a country as we are, we still have a limited amount of space and opportunity.
Sure I feel for the people who can't make it in their own country, but there are a lot of Americans who can't make it here because of someone coming from another land and taking that opportunity away from them.
Anyone who knows their history and keeps up with it knows that even the Native American's weren't the first people to inhabit this land (they came and took it from another tribe of people living here) and have no more of a right to claim they were here first than the pilgrims do.

Everyone but the Native Americans are the foreigners. The USA was built on immigration. Without immigration, it never would have become the powerful, influencial economic superpower that it is today. Immigration is the reason the USA is so strong!

If you want to look at it this way, we are all foreigners living in the USA. The only true Americans were and are the native Americans. I don't know where your ancestors come from but mine are from all over Europe. So I guess to answer your question HELL NO!!!

That's a question that Powhatan should have asked when John Smith landed in Virginia 400 years ago.

No. Historically, the best and brightest from the world have come to the US to study, and many of them end up staying and improving our society. 2/3 of our patents are filed by immigrants, and we should keep it that way, or else these patents will be filed in other countries.
What there are too many of are illegal immigrants, there needs to be quicker and more efficient way for them to gain residency.
