First of all your problem is that it is a FORD! Second, you probably need a new filter or it could be the fuel pump.

There are several items that could be the cause of your no start problem. The first and most probable is the fuel pump, just because you can hear it "running" doesn't mean that it's working. An internal gear could be spinning in place and thus not moving a drop of fuel.

You can test the function of the pump by removing the line immediately after the pump, turn the vehicle on and attempt to turn it over...it fuel sprays out you've got function...if not the pump will need to be replaced.

The next item on the list is a clogged line...this could range from a fuel filter that is blocked to the actual sending unit in the tank. Again you can check for flow at the fuel filter, remove the outgoing fuel filter line and crank the vehicle, if there's no fuel remove the inlet line on the filter and check for fuel.

If the sending unit itself is the problem the tank will have to be dropped and the sending unit most likely replaced. It may be clogged or it may just be malfunctining...it's hard to say. On a van of that age I'd imagine the fuel system is quite dirty, a pump replacement, new fuel filter, and a strong fuel additive would be advised.

Hope this helps!

Which one do you hear?
I think that there is one just aft the engine inside the frame rails and one in the tank. The front one boosts pressure up to a level the injectors needs.
The rear one pumps to the front one at a higher volume.
If one goes out the other will follow.
I do not know it you can eliminate the front pump by upgrading the rear. I had to replace both of mine to get a Bronco II running (it has the same type fuel system). The front one was plugged and the rear one burnt out.
Replace the sock (it is on the tank pump) and front fuel filter when doing this.

Are you sure it's not picking up fuel? It could be out of fuel or the filter could be clogged. If the fuel is getting past the filter and it's still not starting you could have clogged injectors or you may not be firing. After you turn it over can you smell fuel under the hood? Follow the lines up from the tank to the fuel filter and from the fuel filter up to the motor to be sure there are no leaks.
Good luck!

If ya haven't changed yer fuel filter in 2 yrs, go ahead & get it now. It's on the frame under the driver's feets'es. Release any psi on yer fuel rail 1st.After installing filter, switch it on & bleed out any air at the fuel rail.

It could be because your fuel pipes got leack somewhere, or your fuel pump body or gasket is leack also could be your filter is leack if everything working fine and fuel is reaching to carburetor but still your car is not getting start it could you because your needle valve is stuck inside the carburetor....in order to release needle valve what you need to do is you have to hammer on the top of carburetor body where you fix the fuel pipe which is coming from fuel pump.

each and each cellular has DNA and that's consisted of two strands tightly woven around one yet yet another. the factor that prevents the two strands from breaking aside is termed a telomeric cap (it quite is random nucleotide sequences stated as nonsense codons. Codon is a three collection of nucleotides that codes for amino acids eg. CUU is a amino acid stated as proline . A nonsense codon is one that doesnt code for any amino acid production) each and each and each and every time your cells divide a small collection is misplaced there via technique of reducing the soundness of the cellular's DNA (in layman's words). this could finally lead do optimum of Ur cells' DNA transforming into unstable. and in lots of situations on the comparable time as a mistake takes place in DNA the cellular will carry out motor vehicle cytolysis (cellular suicide) to dodge issues. So as quickly as you're previous optimum of ur cells telomeric caps would be low and that they are susceptible to die on the comparable time as they wrestle to divide.. Whats rather exciting approximately this concept is the effect it has on evolution (because of fact this takes place on the two meiotic besides as mitotic divisions. meaning that a species grows previous too in the past it mutates.. yet thats a different tale)
