Yes. That is the purpose of philosophy - to teach you to live and enjoy life, not suffer and die. And believe me, there are philosophies out there that will teach you to suffer and die.

Chosing a philosophy is THE most important thing you will ever do....your life depends on it.

"But the principles you accept (consciously or subconsciously) may clash with or contradict one another; they, too, have to be integrated. What integrates them? Philosophy. A philosophic system is an integrated view of existence. As a human being, you have no choice about the fact that you need a philosophy. Your only choice is whether you define your philosophy by a conscious, rational, disciplined process of thought and scrupulously logical deliberation--or let your subconscious accumulate a junk heap of unwarranted conclusions, false generalizations, undefined contradictions, undigested slogans, unidentified wishes, doubts and fears, thrown together by chance, but integrated by your subconscious into a kind of mongrel philosophy and fused into a single, solid weight: self-doubt, like a ball and chain in the place where your mind's wings should have grown."

Of course, but finding the right answers is the challenge that few too many people are willing attempt, most would rather be spoon fed by the media. Anything worth pursuing is always going to take some time and effort.

Philosophy isn't just the speculation about life. It is how we approach life and how we decide to act. That certainly affects every outcome.

Attitude is everything. Philosophy can help, but you have to convert the words into actions (or at least into convictions that will lead to motivation for actions).

Definitely!

Example: I'm not into Zen Buddhism but they have lessons which ring absolutely true. One is "How do free ourselves of dressing and eating each day?" (meaning how do we free ouselves of everyday trivial chores and requirements of the body) The answer was "We dress and eat each day." (meaning once it isn't a worry and we accept it as part of ourselves, we are free of it.)
Of course, there are more interpretations than mine.

This is a "koan" I think of when getting irritated by everyday life things like raking the yard over and over.
