I've never really gone out early, but the husband and I are thinking about it. If you are going, what store will be your main stop? Any tips?

I did it last 2 years ago & the key is to arrive when you feel like arriving there. I hit up several stores here in the Philadelphia area, but mostly in Wal-Mart & Target. Don't go if you don't like big crowds or a lot of traffic, but otherwise it's a nice experience, esp. for just the deals & sales.

We usually take a trip to an "outdoor" mall where you can park the car & just walk around.
The larger the space, it seems the less crowded you feel.
We might head up to the Berkshires, the Lee Exit on the Mass. Turnpike. The mall is at the top of a mountain. The scenery is great & everyone is in a festive mood.
Good Luck.

No way. While working during this time for several years I have witnessed many appalling things during this "joyous" time. A lady stole some one else's cart that the other person intended on purchasing. Thieves lurk and steel your purse or whatever they can get. Another time I witnessed a woman punch another customer because the last item was taken and she wanted it! Stay home and shop early. Like start in January.

omg! if you go at all, go early, have a list already prepared and stick to the list. you should be able to get some really good bargains if you have been watching the ads and maybe have some of those extra percent off coupons. i have a very small limit on the card for my lifetime favorite store, macys. that suits me fine cause i know i wont go crazy and must really choose what i want to charge.

Yes, I am going shopping. My favorite store is having "on-line" specials that only subscribers will know about with special coupons. I'll be shopping starting on Turkey Day without a doubt.
