I suppose i like them because they are of the few questions that provide a visual element as well
also (and this may sound bad) it can be quite funny and compelling to see peoples reactions sometimes - it's like car crash tv !

I agree on the reactions, it can be funny, and the person who says something like, OH MY EYES THEY BURN, will get 15 thumbs down and 3 thumbs up

Yes, you are the only one who likes them. They have sites for people to get their photos rated, it's more the fact it almost seems like a plea for an ego boost...who cares how you look, no one can see you....

I have to admit, they amuse me as well (as do the responses). However, you have to wonder about the person who posts his/her picture on the internet and asks a bunch of total strangers to rate his/her looks.

... Yea i like them too, but i'm at work so lots of the sites like Flickr and YouTube, i cant axcess. But i like when they make me choose between celebs or something like that.

well you actually get to see what that person looks like, if you know them by their avatar name and when you see their picture you can say "so, thats what they look like.. interesting"
