Well since your polish.. tell them you going to marry a guy who not POLISH ... they will disown you for sure... or atleast stop talking to you.

I sent them all a letter of mine, telling them how much I loved them but I needed to make certain decisions on my own and put all my phone numbers at the bottom with a time frame to call me if it was NOT AN EMERGENCY and that from now on, they will have to deal with their own problems without asking me all the time to figure it out for them. It worked , and now I do believe in "miracles of a dysfunctional family" ! Good luck !

Move far away, Ignor them and change your name. If push comes to shove and they are that terrible, get a restraining order and involve the police often! A handy bat and/or self defense classes would be wise also.

Power of the mind is amazing, just apply yourself to mentally block them, don't take their calls, get involved with your own friends and support system, make it clear to them that you don't want to be a part of them.. and in time they will be a foggy memory. I know many feel it's wrong to be that way to your own kin but my immediate family became very unhealthy for me emotionally. Years of hurt. Eventually you do what is best for yourself in that situation.

well you don't need to go over there anymore and just stay away from them.... I think you really can't make your parents not your parents legally and emancipation only works if you are at least 13 and don't want them anymore

You can ignore them. Change your phone number, move away with no forwarding address.etc.., But one thing you should remember, you only have one family and when they die you can't tell them you are sorry and you love them.
