all the food, none of the hassle, like christmas. this year however, i'm just not into it. it's weird. i have no desire to bake, cook, visit etc. if i could, i'd stay home but that's out of the question. anybody know a good way to get out of this frame of mind and get back to normal?
no, it's not depression, just a funk.

Sometimes that happens. Perhaps you are just tired. Some people say that if you act in a positive way (e.g. bake, cook, and visit, etc.) you will eventually start feeling positive. Good luck.

Holiday music helps give me a kick start. One year I was in a major funk. My hubby was deployed. Well, some carolers came by collecting for charity. The music lifted my spirits so much I gave them the largest sum in my wallet. (At the time it was only a 20, but I wished I had more at the time to give.)
I agree, doing something for the less fortunate is a good way to capture that Christmas feeling as well.

The other fella is right. No better way to see your blessings than to see how other people live. In Reading, PA, there is "Opportunity House" where Thanksgiving dinner is served to the homeless.
